Wild camping in the mountains
When I'm not in the lab, I'm a big fan of exploring the outdoors. In my free time, I plan expeditions to discover new places with unique ecosystems around the globe. Over the last few years, I've traveled to remote regions in the Amazon basin to map uncharted white water rivers (Paddle Peru), completed a sea-to-summit crossing of Tasmania in a two-man team, and crossed the Himalayas on foot.
